Originally there was approximately 1,350 of these made from 1953 to 58, all finished in gold, an arch top accent to the gold top Les Paul’s.  In 1997, two of these were commissioned to the Custom Shop at Gibson to be finished in Wine Red with gold hardware and both were shipped to Sweden.  One was located in a vintage guitar shop and brought back to the U.S.A.  This guitar is in Mint condition and extremely rare.  Remember, there were only “TWO” made and one is still out there somewhere.  For sound, think Scotty Moore and Johnny A .  This is the find and buy of a life time.  Gibson does not have “Mr. Peabody’s way back machine,” to go back in time to have the Custom Shop of old make you a new one.  Note, if the economy turns around, she won’t be for sale.
