This was one of Gibson’s attempts to build a bolt on neck model to compete with Fender’s and what they termed the other brand X models on the market.  This fine example is in flat black with black pick guard and exposed dual color humbuckers.  The early years of this Sonex’s life found it on stage with the heavy metal band FORG and it still has plenty of crunch left to give.  Rough around the edges with surprisingly little fret wear.  Some time in the past, someone clipped the wire to the neck pickup (Who needs a neck pickup when your playing metal anyway)
